Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt, Salzkammergut, Upper Austria

In the summer of 2009, the charismatic Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt opened – and soon became a member of the prestigious association: “Schlosshotels & Herrenhäuser” (“Castle Hotels & Mansions”). The Heritage.Hotel is located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hallstatt. The hotel convinces with historical ambience, selected hospitality and modern interior. It consists of three listed, historic town houses in the center. The houses are located only a few minutes’ walk from each other. None of the 55 rooms is like the other and so each enchants with its own story. Most rooms and suites offer a dreamlike view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

The “Kainz House” directly at the pier hosts the reception, the restaurant “Im Kainz” and the small but nice gable sauna with a view to the church. The restaurant “Im Kainz” is a culinary meeting point with regional delicacies as well as seasonal dishes. In summer, it also offers a sun terrace with a view of the emerald green Hallstättersee. The “Stocker Stone House” on the hillside is Hallstatt’s oldest civil town house, over 500 years old. It is ideal for families due to its generous space allocation and the foundation walls date back to the 13th century. In the staircase you can touch the mountain and under the roof a magnificent view awaits you. The “Seethaler House” is a typical “Hallstatt house” with richly decorated wooden balconies and verandas. It is situated in a quiet area above the lake road on a slope with a fantastic view of Lake Hallstatt. In its historic walls you can live like a Hallstatt resident.
