The King’s Head Inn in Bledington, Oxfordshire

The lovely 16th-century Cotswolds pub, which was named Pub of the Year 2018, Inn of the Year 2020, and Inn of the Year 2021 by the Good Pub Guide, is ideally positioned on the charming village green in Bledington.

This stunning bar, which The Sunday Times called “The quintessential English country pub that one always hopes to find but seldom finds,” has undergone an astonishing amount of restoration and improvement thanks to owners Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing.

The décor is magnificent, with Cotswold stone walls, antique wood beams, and flagstone floors. The inglenook fireplace dominates one end of the bar. In the winter, there are open fires to welcome you, and in the spring and summer, the inn is nestled in a charming village green with a creek running through it with ducks and bantams freely roaming around.
