The Phillips family runs a charming, family-owned Georgian coaching inn known for its award-winning cooking and hospitality. It is adorned all around with the lingering scent of dried flowers and herbs from the hotel’s own garden.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the garden at their own pace and take in the assortment of rare roses, trees, herbaceous plants, and the sizable functioning herb garden with over 100 different species of herbs that supply the kitchen with seasonal ingredients. The unusual pub and restaurant has Jacobean wood paneling, soft brick, stained glass, and cozy open log fires.
