MONTE PACIS is a hospitality complex located in the exclusive area of the city of Kaunas, the Kaunas Lagoon peninsula, a regional park. It offers the perfect location for guests in search of nature, calm and exceptional accommodation.
The hotel is situated in the most magnificent XVII century baroque ensemble of Lithuania, the largest and still functioning Pažaislis monastery complex. It has been built by GDL Chancellor Kristupas Zigmantas Pacas for guests, travelers and himself. He called it MONTE PACIS, which means the “mountain of peace”.
This unique four-star historic hotel is carefully preserving the historic and cultural heritage on the Kaunas Lagoon coast. It offers peaceful and beautiful natural surroundings and reflects history in the interior and its works of art. Chef Raimundas Dambrauskas provides a modern interpretation of regional cuisine, with local vegetables and berries and wine from European monasteries. All hotel rooms are equipped according to the history and entitled by the historical personalities who have lived or worked at the monastery or have just been there for a visit.
